The Opium and Istamboul lines are no doubt the heaviest in the last few years for the Belgian Blue Breed. Empire is the result of a cross between both of these lines! For those who need and appreciate good large cows, the Beauffaux de Jean Mailleux in Saint-Denis breeder is a must to visit. Milk-fed calves, and ever since they can remember they've always used large bulls. So it would seem that according to Fabroca standards, this is certainly one of the best breeders in Belgium! Empire's father, Implant de Beauffaux was a powerful bull and a crowd favourite at Fabroca's 2002 open house event. He weighed 1280kg for a linear score of 87,9 Balise, is a fine productive cow, Éruption was a huge matriarch and Ydiote d’Ochain, Ghandi des Hayons' daughter, was Ochain's best cow at the time.

Suckler, Empire already had 35 calves (fast growing!) by natural birth at Jean-Paul Polet in Schaltin, when he was two and a half.
